D Realest Serves a Timeless Reminder with “Prestige Wine” for T&T Carnival 2026

As Trinidad and Tobago gears up for Carnival 2026, soca lovers are already being treated to music that not only moves the waistline but also sparks conversation. Enter D Realest, born Kurtis Jules from Couva, whose latest soca offering “Prestige Wine” blends infectious rhythm with a cheeky but meaningful message about how we party in the modern era.

Written by his close friend and “brother” Ronald Herry back in 2015, Prestige Wine was inspired by a noticeable shift in party culture. Instead of hands in the air and bodies in motion, many fêtes now feature patrons standing still, phones raised high, capturing the moment rather than living it. The song playfully calls out that behavior, encouraging especially the ladies to put the phones away, free up, and enjoy the music. And if not? Well, as D Realest jokes—maybe just stay home.

Musically, Prestige Wine is powered by youthful energy and solid craftsmanship. The track was produced by Jumanne of Gabriel Creative Studios, with recording, mixing, and mastering handled by the ever-reliable Stephon Gabriel. The result is a clean, vibrant soca tune that feels nostalgic yet perfectly suited for today’s Carnival soundscape.

At its core, Prestige Wine is about remembering a time before camera phones dominated the dancefloor—when partying meant pure vibes, good company, top-tier DJs, and losing yourself in the music. D Realest wants listeners to reconnect with that feeling and truly enjoy the experience, especially if you paid good money to be there.

Music has been a part of D Realest’s life since primary school, with his first official soca recording dating back to 2010. Over the years, he has written and performed across multiple genres, but soca remains closest to his heart—a love that clearly shines through in Prestige Wine.

For upcoming artistes, D Realest offers grounded advice: don’t get distracted by the people in the “thing,” focus on the “thing” itself. Put in the work, stay consistent, be patient, and always practice gratitude—no matter how the journey unfolds.

Prestige Wine is now streaming on all major platforms, including Apple Music, iTunes, YouTube, and across social media. Fans can also explore more of D Realest’s music on his YouTube channel.

This Carnival season, let Prestige Wine be your reminder to wine first, post later—and most importantly, enjoy the moment. 🍷🎶
