A Canadian/Trinbagonian Collaboration Showcasing Caribbean Creativity

Port of Spain, Trinidad – 7th August – The stage is set for an unforgettable night of culture, creativity, and couture as Evolution of Fashion – Trinidad and Tobago Edition takes place on Sunday, August 24, 2025.

Fashion is Evolving! The “Evolution of Fashion” brand is an avenue for designers to use their creativity, to show how fashion has evolved over the years to where we are now. Managed by Ottawa-based Evolution Cultural Entertainment,coordinated by local creative brand consultancy The Fashion Arch, and hosted by renowned stylist and creative director Keylon Whitlock, this year’s showcase celebrates the artistry and innovation of Caribbean designers.

Evolution of Fashion is run by a community organisation made up of a collective of young people in Ottawa, Canada. The aim is to create spaces for emerging designers to showcase the diverse creativity in different global communities, Trinidad and Tobago being one of them!

This event is an opportunity for professional artistic presentation of locally-made fashion designs. There will also be a networking event with opportunities for designers to take orders following the show.

This high-energy cultural fashion experience will bring together nine (9) local and regional designers - 3 from Ottawa, 1 Bahamian, 4 from Trinidad and 1 from Tobago; each presenting collections that fuse tradition with contemporary flair. The evening promises to be a sensory journey through Caribbean identity, craftsmanship, and style forging a new style and creative movement in the Caribbean.
