Soca artist Leo-Melo (Leon De Murrell) is back with a vibrant new release titled “Coming Again”, a track that celebrates the spirit and resilience of soca music. The song, infused with energy and positivity, carries a deeper message born from an unexpected moment of online criticism.
This song wasn’t born from a party. It started with a post:
“A guy was bashing bashing soca and soca artists on Facebook. I was wishing it would stop. He really hates soca music,” Leo-Melo explained. “I had another song but it was a little more aggressive, so I made this one to lighten up the mood a little bit.”

Instead of feeding into the negativity, Leo-Melo decided to do what true artists do — turn it into art. “Coming Again” is a bright, feel-good response to the critics, a celebration of the resilience of soca and the people who live for its rhythm.
Leo-Melo joined creative forces with Azaryah, the artist many still know as Flipo, “Doh Tell Meh Dat.” Together, they fine-tuned the song into something undeniably infectious.
“Azaryah formerly known as Flipo. He also changed up some lyrics to the song to make it better, so he’s a co-writer,” Leo-Melo said.
The result? A melodic, high-energy track that perfectly balances modern soca flavor with a message that’s both defiant and uplifting. It’s a reminder that soca isn’t just entertainment — it’s an emotion, a lifestyle, and a heartbeat that refuses to fade.

“I want people to appreciate and love soca music,” Leo-Melo said. “It’s not just music—it’s a feeling. Every year you can look forward to great music that will bring that vibe.”
With “Coming Again,” Leo-Melo isn’t just releasing a song — he’s reaffirming a culture. It’s a message to the naysayers, the dreamers, and the fete lovers alike: soca isn’t going anywhere. It’s alive, evolving, and yes — it’s coming again.
